One last #spinepoem I’ll share this month—this time from my sister’s book collection.

Here’s another set of #spinepoems I found among my own books.

Only recently did I discover #spinepoems thanks to Annette Dauphin Simon’s book, “Spine Poems: An Eclectic Collection of Found Verse” (bought a copy at Old Town Books). I was inspired to look at my own bookshelf to see if I could find a few poems. Here’s two I found so far; more to come later.

This weekend I celebrated another revolution around the sun. The universe conspired to reunite me with @thisthuy___ and @hopiamongo, which was exactly what my soul needed. On Sunday, my sister and I went on a mini road trip to Old Town Alexandria, Virginia mostly because I wanted to go to the stationery store, Penny Post. The waterfront, bookstore and apothecary museum were nice too. 😆

When your stationery items serve another purpose 😆

Finally after years of thinking about it, I became a dual citizen of the US and Philippines today. There’s no better way to celebrate reclaiming my Philippine citizenship than with a peach mango pie from @jollibeeus. I had to give up my citizenship as a child and now there’s something powerful about reclaiming it as an adult. As if to say, “This is a part of my story, a part of what makes me who I am. I am connected to this place. I can have more than one home.”
